I’m Michela, born in Florence and a nomad by choice. Sunset View Lago Maggiore holiday home is a part of my story and my roots. Located in the village of Campagnano, this 17th-century home has housed generations of my family and is said to have hosted Temistocle Solera, Giuseppe Verdi’s librettist and author of the renowned “Va, pensiero.”
Within these walls lived Livia, my mother Orietta’s aunt. Livia managed the Bar Ristorante “Al Pozzo,” located just below you on the ground floor. For decades, the bar and restaurant were a gathering place for the residents and travelers of the Val Veddasca. My paternal grandmother, Maura, a friend of Livia, worked alongside her, serving countless smiles and coffees to customers and passersby. It was here that my parents, Vittorio and Orietta, first met, fell in love, and shared their story of love at first sight.
I spent part of my childhood in this house, relishing the freedom and values that only a small village can provide. It was here that I first understood the heart-wrenching beauty of the lake.
The house has been lovingly and painstakingly restored to carry forward the tradition of hospitality started by my parents many years ago, overcoming challenges of every kind. Today, together with Angela, who takes care of the cleaning and upkeep of Sunset View Lago Maggiore holiday home, we pour all our energy into ensuring you can feel the peace and good vibrations of this timeless village.

⚪The Sunset View Lago Maggiore holiday home was renovated in August 2024 and is located in the heart of Campagnano - in Giuseppe Solera square known as "Il Pozzo" - in a historic building dating back to 1600, whose traces are still visible in the double-arched access gallery and the Moor's head above it.
⚪The Sunset View Lago Maggiore holiday home is located on the first floor of a two-story building, conveniently accessible by car right up to the house entrance (parking allowed for loading and unloading).
⚪It enjoys an excellent panoramic position, with an exclusive 42 sqm terrace from which you can enjoy a splendid lake view with different sunsets every evening. Privacy is guaranteed thanks to view-blocking curtains on the side facing the square.
⚪The Sunset View Lake Maggiore vacation home is completely furnished and equipped, consisting of a 15 sqm living room with a double sofa bed (dimensions 133*192 cm when open), a 5 sqm kitchen, a 16 sqm bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, and a 5 sqm bathroom with shower.
⚪The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, American coffee maker, and kettle, and a small peninsula.
⚪In the living room overlooking the lake-view terrace, there is a dining table for four people and a sofa bed (dimensions 133*192 cm when open) which can be opened in just a few seconds.
⚪The house is equipped with WI-FI and a wide variety of books. Book crossing is appreciated - if you like a book, you are free to take it provided you leave another!
⚪Crib, high chair, and games for children are available free of charge.
⚪For bicycle enthusiasts, there is the possibility to park your bicycles in a locked common area inside the building, though not supervised.
